Digital Bros is the parent company of publisher 505 Games, which released the soulslike game Wuchang: Fallen Feathers last year. The company announced a deal with the developers of the game from the Chinese studio Leenzee.

According to Digital Bros, the deal has transferred all rights to the intellectual property associated with the game to them. Whether they will manage these rights themselves or pass them on to their subsidiary, 505 Games, has not been specified. In any case, Digital Bros will no longer need to pay royalties to Leenzee from sales of Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
The acquisition cost Digital Bros 32 million yuan or approximately 4 million euros. The funds for the deal were drawn from the company’s available credit lines.
Notably, two weeks before the announcement of the deal, rumors appeared online about serious issues at Leenzee. According to Chinese media, the studio underwent major layoffs and stopped paying salaries to employees, who have already taken legal action against Leenzee. It remains unclear what will happen to the studio now that it has parted with the rights to its flagship game.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers was released on July 24, 2025, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, including Game Pass. The game launched with "overwhelmingly negative" reviews on Steam, but over time, it improved its platform rating to "mixed," and recent reviews have been "very positive." As reported by Digital Bros, as of March 31, 2026, the soulslike had sold over a million copies, with revenues exceeding 30 million euros.
