Despite the ban on publishing games in China without a license, some developers are still trying to do it. The other day, the Shanghai authorities reported that they issued a fine for a total of 1.1 million ($ 165 thousand) to studios that decided to circumvent the restriction.

According to the GameLook portal, the developers of seven games received a fine, including Legend of Zijin (紫金传奇) and Ghost Slayer Blade: Irene Psalms (鬼杀之刃:爱琳诗篇). Now studios have to close access to projects and transfer to the state treasury all illegally obtained proceeds.

Update: SCMP reported that we are not talking about a number of developers, but about one publisher. Perhaps about Shanghai Chuangsi Enterprise Development.
