Sources of the Belarusian edition dev.by assure that there are major cuts in Playgendary. The company denies significant one-time layoffs.
Last night on the pages of dev.by published a publication about Playgendary. According to her:
▫️in May, Playgendary employees began to be told that there might be problems with transferring money from abroad, so they began to ask them to quit and sign an agreement with the Cyprus office;
▫️the new contract simplified the conditions of dismissal;
▫️actually, after the re-registration, employees began to be fired;
▫️the source of the publication assures that about 200 people from various locations were fired this way;
▫️the cuts have been going on in the company for six months now;
▫️during this period, the number of the company decreased from 700 people to 350;
Playgendary denies the situation and claims that they just closed a major project, but have already launched a dozen new ones;
According to the representative of the company, there were no one-time layoffs of 200 people, as well as the use of the scheme with Cyprus;
However, three more former employees of the company confirmed dev.by to be abbreviated in a similar way;
▫️they are sure that the Minsk office of Playgendary will be closed soon.
