The launch sales of the Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor car scooter exceeded all the expectations of the developers. Funday Games announced that the game has reached the mark of half a million copies sold just a week after it was released in early access.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is selling much faster than its predecessor. The original Deep Rock Galactic reached the milestone of 500 thousand copies sold after ten months of early access, which started in 2018 (the game reached release in May 2020). But the first part of the series has a long tail of sales — a month ago, the developers boasted 8 million copies sold.
As a result of its debut week, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor took the ninth place in the chart of the highest-grossing games on Steam in the period from February 13 to 20. If you remove free games and Steam Deck from the chart, then she got the fifth place.
It also entered the top ten most popular new products of 2024 on Steam in terms of peak online.
At the time of writing the news, the top 10 looks like this:
1. Palworld — 2,101,867 people;
2. Helldivers 2 — 457,649 people;
3. Ensrouded — 160,405 people;
4. Last Epoch — 152,512 people;
5. Granblue Fantasy: Relink — 114,054 people;
6. Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor — 56,943 people;
7. Tekken 8 — 49,977 people;
8. Nightingale — 47,569 people;
9. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth — 46,161 people;
10. Persona 3 Reload — 45,002 people.
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor currently has a "very positive" rating on Steam. Of the 9.6 thousand reviews, 84% are approving.
