The legendary developer is no longer involved in the development of the company's new game. His priority now is writing a script for an upcoming movie.
Daniel Vávra
This information was shared in an interview with the Czech publication CzechCrunch by the studio head Martin Frývaldský. According to him, the film will be large-scale with a significant budget.
Frývaldský also noted that Vávra sees this move as a step forward, an attempt to try something different. He has wanted this for a long time.
Nevertheless, as can be understood from the interview, he has not left the company. “The new role of Dan Vávra can be described as a transmedia director,” said Frývaldský.
Following the movie announcement, the studio itself, which now includes over 300 employees, underwent some leadership changes. Notably, Daniel's position was filled by two people — Viktor Bocan and Prokop Jirsa. Both, like Vávra, have been with Warhorse Studios for over 10 years.
Daniel Vávra is a veteran of game development. He started his career in 1998. He led the development of not only the Kingdom Come series but also classics such as Mafia and Mafia II.
