The third quarter of 2026 was extremely successful for Remedy Entertainment financially. As the company reported in the financial report, this was made possible by the excellent launch of Control Resonant.

Control Resonant

Below are the key figures from the document.

  • In total, Remedy earned €39.6 million from July to September 2026. Compared to the same period last year, their revenue grew by an impressive 226%.
  • €35.3 million of this amount came from game sales and royalties, reflecting a growth of 484.2%.
  • An additional €4.3 million was received from partners funding game development. This included payments from Rockstar Games for the remake of the Max Payne duology and the final installment from Annapurna Interactive for work on Control Resonant.
  • Remedy was able to achieve a positive cash flow and closed the quarter with an operating profit of €579,000. Although not a large amount on its own, it is a significant improvement from 2025, when Remedy had a loss of €16.4 million.
  • Remedy did not disclose current sales figures for Control Resonant but reminded that the game was sold more than 1 million times during the first three weeks—a record-breaking pace for the company's projects.
  • Almost half of Control Resonant's sales were in the USA. For the PC version, the top three markets also included China and the United Kingdom, while for the console version, they included the United Kingdom and Canada. Additionally, the console version performed well in Brazil.
  • Control Resonant is currently on the wishlists of another 2.4 million people, so there is room for sales growth.
  • For the Alan Wake franchise, the third quarter of 2026 was relatively quiet. Conversely, the underperforming FBC: Firebreak earned less than the previous year.
  • The Finnish developers hope to demonstrate revenue growth again by the end of the year.
