Last year, Coffee Stain officially separated from the Embracer Group. Now it publishes its financial reports independently. In a recent document, the company shared results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 (April-June).
Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core
- As Coffee Stain reported, in three months it earned 253 million Swedish kronor ($26.6 million). This is 37% more than in April-June 2025, when the company was still part of the Embracer Group.
- Console and PC games contributed the most to Coffee Stain’s revenue — 217 million Swedish kronor ($22.84 million, +52%).
- Another 36 million Swedish kronor ($3.8 million, -12%) was earned from mobile games and projects for Roblox. Specifically, the Roblox game Welcome to Bloxburg accounted for 20 million Swedish kronor ($2.1 million).
- Coffee Stain closed the quarter with a net profit of 24 million Swedish kronor ($2.53 million). For comparison, a year ago, it operated at a loss, with losses amounting to 18 million Swedish kronor ($1.9 million).
- The factory construction simulator Satisfactory sold "significantly better" during the reporting period than the previous year. Thanks are due to the release of console versions and the launch of a major update, version 1.2.
- In May 2026, Coffee Stain released Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core — a cooperative shooter with "roguelike" elements. According to the company, the game showed fairly strong sales initially, but interest rapidly declined against the backdrop of lukewarm reviews. As a result, the engagement level of the new release was lower than Coffee Stain had anticipated.
- Additionally, Coffee Stain is not too pleased with the performance of the new season of the multiplayer adventure Fellowship. To address this, the developer studio Chief Rebel plans to restructure the game team. Starting from the third fiscal quarter (October-December 2026), the team creating content for Fellowship will consist of only 15 people instead of the current 35. What will happen to the remaining 20 people (whether they will be laid off or transferred to other projects) is not mentioned in the report.
