On June 6, the Polish studio Live Motion Games and publisher Frozen Way released a simulator in Steam that deals with the aftermath of the Chernobyl disaster — Chornobyl Liquidators. According to Frozen Way's CEO Mateusz Jeleń, the game failed to meet the expectations placed upon it.

Jeleń wrote on social media that within three days Chornobyl Liquidators sold 6,000 copies and grossed $95,000. The main markets were Germany, the USA, Poland, Russia, and the United Kingdom.

Jeleń acknowledged that the game was not released in the best technical condition. The developers of Chornobyl Liquidators regularly received messages from testers reporting various issues, but they lacked the time and resources to fix them. Nevertheless, Frozen Way decided not to postpone the release, as delaying the date would have been more costly than issuing patches.

At the time of writing, Chornobyl Liquidators has 45% positive reviews on Steam. The peak online count for the game is 504 players.
