In China, some gamers really don’t like Scaramucci from Genshin Impact. So much so that after his appearance as a cat in one of the game events, they began to kill real cats.
A user under the nickname Snoo2612 told about the terrible incidents on Reddit. According to him, there were at least two gamers-knackers. First, a teenager from China told about the murder of a cat similar to Scaramucci on the forum. Then another gamer posted videos on Telegram in which he beat cats with a brick.
Because of the hatred of the character, gamers also harassed and insulted the developers of Genshin Impact. There were also appeals to the authorities with a request to force the company miHoYo to remove Scaramucci from the game. Officials rejected the application, indicating that they see no reason for this.
According to Snoo2612, Scaramucci is hated mostly by men. They are unhappy that because of him there are too many male characters in Genshin Impact, besides, Scaramucci has an arrogant and cruel character. Also, some gamers believe that Scaramucci is a war criminal associated with Japan, and his image offends the Chinese.
