The Chinese authorities have decided to strengthen control over another area of activity. On July 22, the country’s Ministry of Culture published an extensive set of rules that all Chinese streamers are required to comply with.

There are 18 articles in total. A significant part of them is devoted to “immoral behavior”. For example, streamers were urged to look decent, refrain from vulgarity and kitsch, and not to publish content that violates Chinese cultural traditions, incites hatred and distorts history.

In addition, now streamers who talk about medicine, finance, law and other things that “require a high level of professionalism” must confirm their qualifications.
