The analytical resource “Check Index” has published a report on the sales of gaming equipment in Russia for the first ten months of 2022. Below are a few facts from it.
▪️Sales of gaming PCs in pieces rose by 32%. The average check also increased — by 8% to 69,683 rubles.
▪️Console sales in units fell by 30%. The average check decreased by 30% to 37,730 rubles. As indicated by the “Check Index”, Russians bought more than a third of consoles in the first quarter of 2022. PlayStation and Xbox sales declined the most.
Interestingly, the analysts’ conclusions differ from the retailers’ data. For example, Ozon notes that console sales have been “growing monthly since the beginning of the year” and doubled in the first nine months of 2022. Sales of gaming computers of computers on the platform in the same period rose 2.5 times.
