While addressing investors' questions during the financial report, Electronic Arts CEO Andrew Wilson commented on the upcoming release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard

He noted that although EA's business is largely focused on games-as-a-service, the company remains committed to creating innovative projects for different audiences.

"We expect the new Dragon Age to be an excellent example of how our single-player blockbuster segment can engage and unite fans," Wilson stated.

The EA head also mentioned that it's still too early to make specific forecasts regarding The Veilguard's commercial results. However, he is confident that the game has the potential to be a breakthrough release and replicate the success of Inquisition, which was released ten years ago.

According to Wilson, the competition in the action RPG market this quarter is relatively low, giving the new BioWare title a chance to capture the audience. Additionally, the company provided the studio with extra time to refine the project.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is set to release tomorrow, October 31. The game will be one of EA's key releases in the third fiscal quarter, along with EA Sports NHL 25.
