The Witcher School project has closed in Poland. It was a role-playing quest in the Witcher universe, the participants of which could live in a castle for a while, learn archery and fencing, as well as hunt monsters.

According to Eurogamer, the developers stopped cooperation allegedly because of the views of the wife of the co-founder of 5 Żywiołów (the company that owns the project). The fact is that she is a member of the Polish ultraconservative organization Ordo Iuris, which opposes LGBTQ+, abortion and the idea of gender equality.

But as specified in 5 Żywiołów, Anna Wawrzyniak (Anna Wawrzyniak) worked with the “School of Witchers” only from 2017 to 2019 and dealt exclusively with legal issues. In March 2022, the media became aware that she had started working on a bill to punish illegal abortions. After that, CD Projekt revoked the license without any explanation.
