The Polish group of companies, CD PROJEKT, reported their financial performance for the first six months of 2024. This half-year period was exceptionally successful for them.
Cyberpunk 2077
- CD PROJEKT announced that compared to 2023, their half-yearly revenue increased by 31%, reaching 424.8 million PLN (110 million USD).
- Net profit surged by 88% to 170 million PLN (44 million USD).
- The majority of the revenue was generated by CD PROJEKT RED — 344.9 million PLN (89.5 million USD). GOG contributed an additional 87.6 million PLN (22.7 million USD).
- Over the six-month period, Cyberpunk 2077, including the Phantom Liberty expansion, brought CD PROJEKT 257.6 million PLN (66.8 million USD), 80.7% more than the previous year.
- The The Witcher series games, including expansions, generated 61.3 million PLN (15.9 million USD), with revenue from them falling by 21.2%.
- CD PROJEKT received 70% of its revenue from North America. Other major markets were Europe (19.2%), Asia (6.1%), Australia (0.9%), and South America (0.5%). The domestic market (Poland) accounted for 3.2% of the revenue.
- CD PROJEKT's financial reserves in the form of cash, bank deposits, and bonds grew by 4% to 1.36 billion PLN (354 million USD). This growth was achieved despite the group spending 100 million PLN (25.9 million USD) on dividends and directing over 150 million PLN (38.9 million USD) towards new projects.
- As of the end of June, CD PROJEKT had 1,134 employees.
