The developers of Cyberpunk 2077 use neon yellow in almost everything related to their game – from art to team announcements. The leading environment artist Michal Janiszewski spoke at the Digital Dragons conference and told why CD Projekt made this color the “calling card” of the title.

According to him, the company focused on Coca-Cola. A glass bottle with this soda is a great example of industrial design, because it is easily recognized all over the world. With Cyberpunk 2077, the developers wanted to achieve the same result.

CD Projekt also tried to create a unique, fresh, style for Cyberpunk 2077, which would distinguish the game from other representatives of the genre. She wanted to move away from the usual red and blue shades.

As Janiszewski assures, after the release of the game, neon yellow became extremely popular in Poland. Some companies “stole” it and actively used it in advertising.
