For the second time in a month, Capcom broke the record for the value of shares. After the announcement of Monster Hunter Now, the company’s shares rose by 9%.
Now one Capcom share can be bought for ¥5.14 thousand or about $38.3.
Monster Hunter Now is a free—to-play AR game for smartphones that Capcom and Niantic, the author of Pokémon GO, are working on. In it, users need to look for monsters and fight them. The game is scheduled for release in September 2023.
Recall that Capcom set the previous record on April 3 after the release of the Resident Evil 4 remake.
