Capcom released its first quarter financial report for 2024, which ended on June 30. Below are the main figures.
Dragon’s Dogma 2
- Net sales for the quarter amounted to ¥29.6 billion ($192.5 million), down 32.5% year-on-year.
- Capcom's operating profit decreased by 46.4% to ¥12.9 billion ($83.8 million). Net profit declined by 45.1% to ¥9.97 billion ($64.8 million).
- According to Capcom, its revenues dropped because it lacked strong releases from April to June 2024 compared to the same period last year. Notably, the company had released Street Fighter 6 then.
- In total, the company sold 9.53 million game copies during the quarter. A year earlier, it had reported 13.5 million game copies sold. The share of digital game sales was 93%.
- Despite everything, Capcom is confident that it will set new financial records by the end of the year. The company still expects net sales of ¥165 billion ($1 billion) and operating profit of ¥64 billion ($416 million).
