The British consumer Protection organization Which? conducted a new study on the drift of Joy-Con sticks for the Nintendo Switch. She found out that dust gets inside the rollers, and the plastic in the contact points wears out after a few months of use — this leads to breakage.
Which? She called on Nintendo to repair or replace all faulty Joy-Con for free, as well as to refund money to gamers who were forced to buy a new controller due to problems with the old one.
Nintendo responded by saying that it was constantly improving Joy-Con, and a small number of users were faced with stick drift.
