Polish studio Donkey Crew announced that Bellwright was bought 150 thousand times. The game achieved this result in 12 days: it was released in early access on Steam on April 23, 2024.

Bellwright is a medieval action RPG in which the player will lead a rebellion against the king, simultaneously building his own settlement.
According to the developers, before the game was released, they were worried that Bellwright might fail due to some mistake that was not fixed in time. They admit that Bellwright is still in a raw state and needs to be improved, but thanks to the support of the players, the fear of failure has gone away. Donkey Crew hopes to justify the trust of the community, so they are actively working on the game.
At the time of writing, Bellwright has a "mostly positive" rating on Steam. 77% of the 3,460 reviews are favorable.
Last night, Bellwright updated the online record on Steam. According to SteamDB, at its peak it attracted 15,263 people at the same time. This is half as much as the studio's previous game, Last Oasis, managed to attract at the time. It remains to be seen whether Bellwright will be able to bypass its predecessor online later.
