Bandai Namco‘s internal network was indeed hacked. The Japanese publisher admitted in a statement to the media that hackers were able to get into the company’s system. It is still unclear for sure what information the attackers got hold of, but Bandai Namco does not exclude that there are personal data of users among the stolen.

According to the company, the hacker attack occurred on July 3. Now Bandai Namco is investigating the causes of the incident and at the same time trying to strengthen the protection of its network. In particular, she said that she would ask third-party organizations to help her with security measures.

The hacking of Bandai Namco data became known earlier this week. It is assumed that the hacker group ALPHV, also known as BlackCat, is behind it.
