Recently, it was noticed online that the studio behind the Until Dawn remake underwent a wave of layoffs, as reported in social media posts by former employees. Ballistic Moon has now officially announced that it has indeed parted ways with a portion of its staff.

Ballistic Moon released a statement on LinkedIn regarding the situation. The company did not disclose the number of employees laid off, only noting that its team has been "significantly reduced."

As explained by Ballistic Moon, the layoffs were a result of challenges within the gaming industry. This decision was difficult but necessary to secure the studio's future.

Apparently, the layoffs at Ballistic Moon will not affect the release of the Until Dawn remake. The game is set to be released on October 4 for PC and PlayStation 5.
