The publisher of Playstack and the developer LocalThunk have announced the new success of the indie card hit Balatro. They reported that the game took its first mark of one million copies sold in a little less than a month since its release: its release took place on February 20, 2024.

- 250 thousand copies — three days;
- 500 thousand copies — ten days;
- a million copies — four weeks.
"I am very grateful to all the players and people who helped make this happen," said LocalThunk. "I still can't understand why the game caused such a reaction, and I'm incredibly glad that my stupid brainchild turned out to be able to entertain so many people. I am very lucky that my hobby can continue to be my job. Thank you!"
Balatro is available on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. The developer is currently working on a mobile version of the game, but he is not yet ready to say when he will finish it.
