The companies AppLovin and its subsidiary Machine Zone (known for Game of War and Mobile Strike) have conducted a series of layoffs.

The layoffs became known through social media posts by former employees. According to LinkedIn information, the layoffs affected teams in product support, animation, and development. Among those laid off was the vice president of Machine Zone for product and his entire team.
AppLovin representatives did not confirm the layoffs or the exact number of employees let go.
These measures may be related to the restructuring following the closure of the game Final Fantasy XV: War For Eos and a significant decline in revenue from older hits such as Game of War and Mobile Strike.
For context: in 2015, Game of War, at the peak of its popularity, could generate up to 69 million dollars a month for the company. Today, according to AppMagic data, its monthly revenue is less than 400 thousand dollars.
