Today, the Internet Development Institute (IDI) has begun accepting contest applications for the creation of Russian content in the digital environment. Games are one of the key focus areas of the contest.

Long-term projects with implementation timelines extending to October 2027 are welcome to participate.

Developers are invited to choose from one of the seven themes formulated by the IDI:

  1. “protection of national interests and public values”;
  2. “heroes of our time and reasons for pride”;
  3. “quality changes in life in Russia”;
  4. “multinationality: unity in diversity”;
  5. “spiritual and moral guidelines”;
  6. “family values, and upbringing of children and adolescents”;
  7. “vision of the future.”

Several key performance indicators have been defined for evaluating game projects: installations, downloads, unique users, and a mixed indicator. Minimum requirements depend on the budget. For instance, the following figures have been set for computer games:

  • up to 10 million rubles – at least 25,000 installations;
  • from 10 to 20 million rubles – at least 50,000 installations;
  • from 20 to 40 million rubles — at least 100,000 installations;
  • from 40 to 60 million rubles – at least 200,000 installations;
  • over 60 million rubles – at least 375,000 installations.

Applications are accepted until December 25 inclusive. More details about the contest and requirements can be found on the official IDI website.

Over the last three years, the IDI has already supported 40 gaming projects with funding totaling 1.5 billion rubles. Among them are “Smuta,” “Sparta 2035,” “Saturn,” “Frontline,” and “Museum Mysteries,” along with other projects.
