Throughout most of the last financial year, Capcom reported declining revenues, but the end of the year turned out to be exceptionally successful for the company. So much so that it once again managed to set records in annual sales and profits.

▫️In a recent report, Capcom revealed that net sales for the financial year that spanned from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, amounted to a record 169.6 billion yen ($1.15 billion). The previous year they were 11.3% lower.

▫️Net profit increased by 11.7% to a record 48.45 billion yen ($327 million).

▫️Operating profit reached 65.7 billion yen ($448 million) for the first time in the company’s history, up 15.2% compared to the previous year.

▫️According to Capcom, operating profit has been rising for 12 consecutive years, with a steady increase of over 10% annually in the past decade.

▫️The main driver of revenue growth is Monster Hunter Wilds. Other games in the Monster Hunter series and hits from the Resident Evil series also contributed to setting records.

▫️During the financial year, Capcom sold 51.87 million game copies, which is also a record. Compared to the previous year, game sales increased by 5.98 million copies.

▫️90.1% of game copies were sold digitally—54.4% on PC and 35.7% on consoles.

▫️Capcom's primary market is North America, where it sold 29.8% of game copies. Next is Asia (excluding Japan) with 21.6%. Europe came in third with an 18.6% share. Japan accounted for 16.2% of sold game copies.

▫️Over a thousand, but fewer than 100,000 game copies were sold in Russia during the financial year.

In the current financial year, ending March 31, 2026, Capcom plans to set new records. Specifically, it aims for net sales of 190 billion yen ($1.28 billion) and a net profit of 51 billion yen ($345 million). The annual game circulation is planned to reach 54 million copies sold.
