Rovio is another gaming company that shared a financial report today. The creators of Angry Birds told how the first quarter of 2023 passed for them.

▪️Rovio’s revenue decreased by 10.5% year-on-year to €76 million. Its operating profit increased by 17.8% to €8.8 million.

▪️Receipts in games (gross bookings) amounted to €72 million. A 10.9% drop.

▪️Angry Birds Dream Blast for the first time received more revenue than other Rovio games. They amounted to a record €24.9 million. Before that, Angry Birds 2 remained the leader for years. However, now the receipts of the latter were not much less — € 24.8 million.

Compared to the first quarter of 2022, the MAU of Rovio games fell by 13% to 454 thousand people.
