The analytical service VG Insights continues to monitor the performance of the Chinese hit Black Myth: Wukong. It has released the latest statistics for the Steam version of the game.
Black Myth: Wukong
- According to VG Insights, on the release day of August 20, Black Myth: Wukong was purchased on Steam 4.7 million times. By August 28, sales surpassed 15.2 million copies, and by September 3, they reached 17.4 million copies.
- At launch, 80% of the copies sold were in China. Currently, China's share has decreased to 76%.
- The U.S. (6%) and Hong Kong (1%) are also in the top three markets for Black Myth: Wukong.
- On average, Steam users spent 27.3 hours playing the game.
- VG Insights believes that users with games like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Next Jianghu II (下一站江湖Ⅱ), and Gu Long Fengyun Lu (古龙风云录) in their libraries are the most likely to decide to play Black Myth: Wukong.
- VG Insights notes separately that to date, the gross revenue for Black Myth: Wukong on Steam amounts to 835.5 million dollars.
