Joost van Dreunen, the former head of the now closed analytical company SuperData, calculated the possible sales of GTA VI on release. They turned out to be lower than GTA V.
According to Drunen, the game will be available only on PC and consoles of the new generation and will be released in late 2024 – early 2025. When calculating, the analyst took into account the number of PS5 and Xbox Series that gamers around the world will buy by this time.
As Dreunen predicts, for the debut week, GTA VI sales will amount to 12-14 million copies, and revenue will exceed $ 1 billion. For comparison: GTA V took only a day to sell 11.21 million copies, and three days to earn the first billion.
