This fall, a discipline “Video Games as literature” will appear in one of the Oregon schools. The teacher under the nickname AnonymousCerealBowl told on Reddit that he was able to interest the management in his idea and has already received a grant for $ 10 thousand.
The teacher spent part of the allocated funds on the purchase of consoles. Now he has 20 Xbox Series in his arsenal (two of them used), four Nintendo Switch and one PS5. During the lessons, AnonymousCerealBowl intends to use first of all a Game Pass subscription — this way it turns out cheaper than buying games. Now he is also communicating with Larry Hryb from Microsoft, but he does not particularly count on support.
According to the teacher, only high school students will be able to attend his lessons, so he can offer them games with an adult rating. AnonymousCerealBowl did not specify which specific projects will be included in the program.
