Hogwarts Legacy

Let us recall, the release of Nintendo Switch 2 took place on June 5, 2025. As noted by Ampere Analysis, from that day forward, the revenue from games by third-party publishers began to grow rapidly. As a result, by the end of April-December 2025, they earned a total of $2.3 billion on Nintendo consoles — that's a 76% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Interestingly, during this time, unit sales of third-party games on Nintendo consoles dropped by 2.5%.

According to analysts, the increase in revenue amid declining sales is explained simply — average game prices rose significantly (by 81%), which allowed publishers to earn well despite the decreased demand for their projects.
