The other day, investors from SOC Investment Group said that the management of Activision Blizzard is not trying enough to deal with discrimination in the company. They asked all other shareholders not to vote for the re-election of Bobby Kotick and several other board members. As it turned out, Activision Blizzard did not appreciate such a statement.
The company published its own statement in which it criticized the “egregious” arguments of SOC Investment Group. For example, she listed a number of changes made recently. Among them are the launch of a policy of intolerance to harassment, increased transparency and the hiring of a diversity, equity and inclusion manager.
Activision Blizzard also pointed out that investors rely on “half-truthful” media investigations that may mislead shareholders.
