The list of countries imposing restrictions on Roblox is growing.

The Supreme Council for Media Regulation in Egypt announced the blocking of Roblox on February 4th. The council did not specify the reasons for this decision and generally avoided details, mentioning only that the gaming platform will no longer be accessible in the country.
Interestingly, a few days earlier, Egyptian Senator Walaa Hermas Radwan called for Roblox to be banned. She stated that it is necessary to do this for the protection of children, arguing that young gamers encounter inappropriate content on Roblox and interact with potentially dangerous strangers. It is likely that the regulator's decision was influenced by this call.
Representatives of Roblox told Bloomberg in a statement that the platform has reached out to Egyptian authorities with an offer to negotiate. They are willing to cooperate and hope to lift the ban quickly.
Recall that two months ago, Roskomnadzor blocked Roblox in Russia. The platform is also officially unavailable in China, Turkey, Qatar, Iraq, and several other countries.
