A wave of layoffs has reached the authors of Until Dawn. This morning, on February 26, Supermassive Games employees learned that management plans to lay off 90 people.
Moreover, as Bloomberg reports, in general, 150 people are under threat of dismissal. This is about half of the staff of the British studio.
According to the letter that Supermassive Games employees received, the company is starting a reorganization procedure, during which layoffs will take place. Its causes are not reported.
"We want to focus on what we are good at and on our future games. This is necessary to ensure the sustainable position of the company," the official statement of the company says.
Now Supermassive Games, with the support of Behavior Interactive, is developing the horror game The Casting of Frank Stone. Its events will develop in the universe of the Dead by Daylight series.
In addition to this title, the studio is also working on Little Nightmares III and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Directive 8020.
