According to the Steam sales chart for the last week, the main hit of July is the role—playing pixel adventure Dave The Diver from Mintrocket studio (owned by Nexon).

The game was released on June 28 (in a worldwide release, as part of early access, it has been available since October 2022) and by the end of the first week of sales, it entered the top three highest-grossing games on the platform (excluding games with micropayments and Steam Deck). Following the results of the second week of sales, it topped the top, ahead of BattleBit Remastered, Elden Ring and Baldur’s Gate 3.

To date, the game has more than 28 thousand reviews. With a median Steam multiplier of x30, we can say that the game has now sold 840 thousand copies.

It is difficult to judge how much the game earned. The base price tag for the game is around 20 euros. However, in many regions, including China, it costs twice as much. In Argentina, it can be purchased for four euros at all.

As for the game itself, it can be described as a mix of a huge number of mechanics. The user assumes the role of a fat diver who runs his own sushi bar. So he has to hunt for delicacies with the help of a harpoon at the bottom of the sea, as well as manage a restaurant, and at the same time manage a fish farm, plant vegetables, serve visitors, buy hunting equipment and much, much more. Plus, the game is plot-centric at the same time. At some point, even elements of a visual novel appear in it.
