Bandai Namco sued a former employee. According to the company, from April 2015 to April 2022, he stole about 4.4 thousand smartphones intended for testing mobile games.
According to Bandai Namco, a large-scale loss of equipment was noticed in November 2021, but for a long time it was not completely clear who was behind it. The employee suspected of theft was fired only a year later — in December 2022.
Bandai Namco added that after the incident, it made changes to the internal control system. The company also temporarily reduced by 10-30% the salaries of 13 managers who did not comply with their duties well enough.
