The mayor of Moscow, Sergey Sobyanin, wrote on his Telegram channel that this will be the first cluster of its kind in Russia. It is expected that its residents will include both leading Russian gaming and animation companies as well as young studios.

According to Sobyanin, residents of the Moscow cluster will be able to use innovative equipment for working on their projects. There will also be an educational platform and a place for holding conferences. In addition, resident developers will be assisted in promoting their games abroad by being invited to international events where they can find partners.

“I am confident that the creation of the cluster will aid the development of video game tourism. And soon, we will see games whose setting, plot, and characters are connected with Moscow, its history, culture, and geography,” Sobyanin concluded.
