Sony has published another financial report today. In it, the company disclosed the results of the third quarter of fiscal 2022.
For Sony’s gaming division, the quarter turned out to be successful. Its operating profit increased by a quarter to $903.4 million, and sales revenue increased by 53% to $9.7 billion.
▪️PlayStation earned the most from the sale of games — $4.68 billion (+30.3%).
▪️Console sales revenue — $3.4 billion (+118%).
▪️Gaming services revenue — $950 million (+19.6%).
▪️Sony sold 7.1 million consoles in the quarter PS5. For all time, PS5 sales amounted to 32.1 million devices.
▪️Sony also sold 86.5 million copies of games during the quarter.
▪️The number of PS Plus subscribers amounted to 46.4 million people.
