Contrary to the pessimistic forecasts of a number of analysts, the Chinese authorities continue to issue licenses for the release of games in the country. The National Press and Publications Administration (NPPA) has published a fresh list of approved projects — the third after the “freeze”.

In total, the list includes 67 games, including Overwatch 2 and the PS5 version of F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch.

However, as in the previous two times, neither Tencent nor NetEase received permission to release new games in China. It is difficult to say unequivocally what this is connected with, the companies themselves do not comment on the situation.
