The studio Lazy Bear Games and publisher tinyBuild shared the initial success of Graveyard Keeper 2. They announced that just two days after its release, the cemetery keeper simulator's sales across all platforms reached nearly half a million.

This achievement was made possible in part due to pre-orders. It is noteworthy that the Steam version of the game alone was pre-ordered by 190 thousand people, generating $3 million in gross revenue even before the release. Furthermore, by the time of launch, the simulator had over 1 million wishlists, ensuring an excellent start was virtually guaranteed.
The creators of Graveyard Keeper 2 expressed immense gratitude to the audience for such a warm reception.
“It's hard to fully express our gratitude for every download, review, post, or clip we've seen — thank you so much for your support!” wrote the developers in the event feed of Graveyard Keeper 2 on Steam.
Graveyard Keeper 2 was released on September 22, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and both Nintendo Switch consoles.
