Control has turned five years old. In honor of this, Remedy announced that more than 19 million people have now interacted with the game.

It's important to note that this figure does not reflect the number of copies sold. The game has been given away for free several times in the Epic Games Store and is included in the Game Pass and PlayStation Plus subscriptions.
The last time developers disclosed actual sales figures for Control was in February 2024, when they amounted to 4 million copies, with the game generating net revenue of 100 million euros.
Currently, Remedy is expanding the Control franchise. In the latest financial report, the developers reported that the sequel is in the phase of readiness for production, and a spin-off with the working title Condor is in full development.
