The National Press and Publication Administration of China (NPPA) has published a list of 15 foreign games allowed for release in the country. One of the most notable games on the list is the mobile version of Valorant, which received the subtitle Operation Primal (无畏契约:源能行动).

Valorant

Riot Games announced the development of Valorant Mobile back in 2021. The company doesn't often talk about this project, and its release date still remains unknown. Getting a license in China at least means the game hasn’t been abandoned.

It’s worth noting that the PC version of Valorant was released in China in July 2023, seven months after NPPA approved its release and granted a license. The game quickly became a commercial hit. The company responsible for its release, Tencent called Valorant’s launch the most important Chinese release of 2023.

NPPA also issued licenses to games like Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, Black Desert, and Dungeon Hunter 6. Since the beginning of the year, the regulator has allowed the release of 61 foreign games in China.
