Zynga has released its financial statements for the 3rd quarter of 2015. The company’s revenue decreased compared to the previous quarter. The indicators of DAU and MAU have fallen. However, advertising revenue has grown.
Total revenue was $196 million. This is 2% less than in the previous quarter and 11% less than in the 3rd quarter of 2014.
Revenue from online games decreased by 7% and amounted to $151 million. At the same time, revenue from advertising and “other segments” increased by 4% compared to the previous quarter and reached $45 million.
Among online projects, Farmville 2 became the most profitable in the 3rd quarter of 2015. It accounts for 21% of revenue. Poker, casino, FarmVille 2: Country Escape and slots bring the company about the same amount of revenue. The remaining 20% are combined under the general name “other games”.
Zynga shared the total metrics of mobile projects. The company’s MAU was 75 million. This indicator decreased by 27% compared to Q3 2014 and by 9% compared to the previous quarter. DAU also continues to fall: in the 3rd quarter of 2015 it reached 19 million, which is 21% less than in the 3rd quarter of 2014 and 9% less than in the previous quarter.
