The French publisher of hyper-casual games Voodoo has increased its presence in the Turkish market. He invested in Fabrika Games studio. The companies will work together on new games and explore the possibilities of the country’s gaming market.
The plans of mobile developers were announced by PocketGamer. It is also noted that earlier Voodoo and Fabrika Games have already worked together: last year, the Turkish studio created a mobile game Draw Car, which was then published by Voodoo.
“We are pleased to expand our relationship with Voodoo,” said Berat Oguz, CEO of Fabrika Games. “With their extensive experience and our knowledge, we will create mobile titles that define the genre.”
Voodoo CEO Alexander Yazdi also expressed hope for a successful cooperation.
“We are proud that Fabrika chose Voodoo. With its hit Draw Car, the company has shown that it is successful and creative. They have a thirst for expansion and innovation, which is completely in line with our culture. We will help Fabrika develop Turkish talents who strive to create successful hyper-casual games together with Voodoo”
Recall that in 2019, Voodoo opened its own office in Istanbul as part of the European expansion. In August 2020, the publisher consolidated its position in the Asian region, when the Chinese Tencent bought a minority stake in the company.
