The Finnish studio TrapLight Games raised $500 thousand at the initial funding stage.
The investors were Sunstone Capital, Finnvera Venture Capital and East Wings. Several business angels have also invested, including Henrik Suuronen, president and co-founder of Nonstop Games, as well as the former head of Wooga and Digital Chokolate.
Part of the deal was the appointment of Nikolay Nyholm from Sunstone Capital to the board of directors.
The funds received will be invested in the further development of the Traplight Games project – the What on Earth! racer, the peculiarity of which is not only that users can communicate with each other in the game, but also in the process of creating levels, which is carried out by the players themselves.
“The first game of Traplight Games rethinks the genre of casual racer. The game combines engaging gameplay with social interaction and with content created by users themselves.”
