In the spring of 2018, the average check of Russian players for MMO games for PC was 955 rubles ($16). Such data was provided by the WebMoney Transfer settlement system and the PayMaster payment service.

Experts note that Russians traditionally spend more on MMO games in the spring. This time, the spring average check is 13% higher than the winter one. Also this spring, the average user’s check was 10% more than last spring.

The increase in the average check is explained by a seasonal drop in turnover — it has become less by 20% compared to the winter months. This is due to the fact that many players spend more time away from home in the spring, so the share of transactions from hardcore players increases.

But if we compare with 2017, the turnover of funds in the MMO segment increased, albeit slightly — by 1.8%.
