Sales of the Punch Club game by indie studio Lazy Bear Games have reached $2 million in two months since its launch.
The information was shared by the publisher of the tinyBuild project.
It also became known that the total circulation of the project on PC, iOS and Android amounted to 250 thousand (of which 146 thousand accounted for PC).
In early March, the game will receive several additions. Viewers of matches on Twitch will be able to place bets in virtual currency on the result of the match. Cross-platform saving will be possible. In addition, a story supplement called The Dark Fist will be released. The release on Steam is scheduled for March 8. On iOS and Android, the add-on will appear on March 10.
Recall that the title Punch Club was released on January 8, 2016. In the first 10 days, the game brought the authors $ 1 million. According to the Lazy Bear Games team, Twitch and YouTube have become the main channels for promoting the game. A marketing ploy was invented especially for these platforms: in order for the project to go on sale ahead of schedule, the game broadcasts on Twitch had to collect a certain number of views.
