In the first half of 2020, the British studio Codemasters earned £80.5 million ($104.2 million). This is twice as much as at the same time a year ago.

According to PC Games Insider, in April-September 2020, Codemasters’ revenues increased by £39.8 million ($51.5 million) compared to the same period last year.

Most of the revenue came from digital sales. “Digit” brought 73% of the total amount of $104.2 million. Last year, this figure was 61.7% of the amount of $52.7 million.

The company itself attributes this to the COVID-19 pandemic and forced quarantine measures that forced people to reconsider their approach to entertainment.

Codemasters is one of the oldest developers and publishers in the UK. The studio is mainly engaged in racing games. In 2020, the company released Project CARS 3 and Fast and Furious Crossroads, whose revenue it called “meeting expectations.”
