3D developer Maxon won Epic MegaGrant in the amount of $ 200 thousand. The funds will be used to strengthen the integration between Unreal Engine and Cinema 4D.
Maxon shared the achievement in his latest press release. In it, the company noted that Maxon and Epic have been working together for a long time, and the grant will help make cooperation more fruitful. The developer of the 3D package plans to use the allocated money to turn Cinema 4D “into the best tool for 3D artists Unreal Engine”.
“We are pleased to strengthen the integration between Unreal Engine and Cinema 4D,” said Maxon CEO David McGavran. “We are grateful to the Epic MegaGrants team for considering it important to develop our potential.”
The Epic MegaGrant program started in early 2019. As part of this initiative, Epic has allocated $100 million to support talented Unreal Engine users. At the moment, one of the largest grants received by the authors of the free 3D editor Blender ($ 1.2 million).
Maxon is a manufacturer of software for creating three—dimensional graphics, animation and special effects. Among the company’s most famous products are Cinema 4D, Redshift and BodyPaint 3D.
