New Horizons. In just four months, the exclusive Nintendo Switch sold 7.15 million copies and broke the Super Mario Bros. record, which lasted 30 years.

Sales on the local market exceeded 7.5 million copies. If the popularity of the project continues to grow, it will be able to throw off the first place Pokémon Red / Green / Blue 1996, which sold 10.23 million copies in Japan.

Earlier, Nintendo announced that sales of New Horizons in the world exceeded 22 million copies. Among Switch exclusives, only Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (26.74 million copies) is ahead of it.
