Activision has published the results of the 2nd fiscal quarter of 2015. The company’s profit amounted to $759 million (non-GAAP), of which $611 million came from digital sales.
For comparison, last year the company earned $658 million, of which digital sales amounted to $481 million.
The financial quarter for the company expired on June 30, 2015. The most successful games during this period were Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft, Heroes of the Storm and Destiny. The total number of their players reached 70 million, and the total spending in these games amounted to $ 1.25 billion. Most of this money came from in-game purchases by users.
Recall that the Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft card butler appeared on mobile devices in 2014 and soon got into the top 100 most profitable games in 19 countries. According to analysts, the project will bring the authors up to 200 million for the 2015 fiscal year.
